The Secret Place

Jesus said, “But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly/in the open” (Matthew 6:6).

Let’s always remember that Jesus Christ is Lord and God. Amen!
When Jesus speaks, it is the Father speaking to us.
Jesus is the image of the invisible God. Jesus is the revelation of God.
Jesus’ words are eternal. His words are spirit and life.
His words reveal secrets kept hidden since the foundation of the world (Psalm 78:2, Matthew 13:11, Gospels).

Jesus said, “Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away” (Matthew 24:35).

Jesus said, “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life” (John 6:63).

Jesus’ words at the beginning of this chapter reveal priceless, eternal revelations.
Your Father.
Who is in the secret place.
Your Father who sees in secret . . .
Will reward you in the open.
Incredible. Wonderful. Priceless.
Beyond human comprehension!
Jesus is letting us know that we have the opportunity for the God of the universe to be our Father!

God’s Offer to Mankind

God’s offer of Himself to mankind is the greatest offer ever made to the human race.
In fact, it is the only offer. Why? Because it is the only one offering eternal life and all that eternal life contains.
Every other “offer” leads to eternal death.
We find Him through Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Jesus Christ is Lord and God.
God came to earth as a man and justified Himself to the world.

The Secret Place

Your Father . . . who is in the secret place.
What and where is that secret place?
Let’s look at some more of Jesus’ words.
Jesus said: “Our Father who art in heaven” (Matthew 6:9).
Jesus said: “In My Father’s house are many mansions . . . “ (John 14:2).
The Father dwells in heaven, his home, a place of glory, majesty, love and infinitely more.
So, if Jesus said “Your Father who is in the secret place,” based on the words above, we can conclude that the secret place is heaven.
Heaven is filled with and literally made from the glorious presence of God, the presence of the Father and of Jesus Christ. Amen.
God’s glorious presence literally permeates and fills heaven.
Therefore, we can make another conclusion: the secret place is literally God Himself. Amen.
