The supreme end of man is to know God. Knowing Him is the greatest and highest privilege for mankind.

The Lord God is one (Mark 12:29). The only true God has revealed Himself as the Father, His Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.

God created man to know Him and fellowship with Him, forever.

Someone may ask, what is God like? What is the Holy Spirit like?

He is the most wonderful, most beautiful Person in the universe.

He is beyond words and description.

His presence is His glory . . . the glory of the Lord God Almighty . . . the glorious splendor of His majesty.

His presence fills the universe and the earth.

Those who make it to heaven will fellowship Him, forever. They will live forever in the wonderful presence of Jesus, the presence of God, the Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ is the revelation of God . . . the image of the invisible God . . . the fullness of the Godhead in bodily form . . . the exact representation of God’s nature (John 1, Colossians 1, Hebrews 1).

Jesus is the Son of God and . . . the Lord God Almighty.

The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of the Father, the Spirit of Jesus Christ.

God is a trinity, and He sent Jesus Christ to the world, because He loves the world and wants every person to know Him and live forever in heaven.

God created man in His image and gave every person a choice between Him and self. This choice determines a person’s eternal destiny: heaven or hell.

God cannot and will not make anyone choose Him.

Man’s most important choice is between God/Jesus Christ and self.

How can someone make it to heaven?

Receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, walk with and serve Him, which is what man was created to do.

How can someone experience His presence and glory?

“You shall seek Me and you shall find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart” (Jeremiah 29:13).

Jesus Gives Eternal, Everlasting Life (John 10:28)

When someone is saved, the eternal God gives them eternal life.
Jesus said, “I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish” . . . (John 10:28).
Jesus said, “And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent” (John 17:3).
Eternal life is knowing Him, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
It is also “the age to come” (Luke 18:30).

Jesus said, “And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone pluck them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to pluck them out of My Father’s hand. I and My Father are one” (John 10:28-29).

The Greek Words for Eternal, Everlasting Life

The same Greek word for “eternal” is also translated “everlasting.” That word is “aionion.”

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16).
