Jesus invites everyone to Himself
Jesus said, “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light” (Matthew 11:28-30).

Gentle
The Greek word for “gentle” is this passage is “praus.”
Scholars say the root “pra” is difficult to translate.
One translation could be “exercising God’s strength under control.” Another could be “gentleness reserved and strength.”
Jesus is the Son of God and . . . the Lord God Almighty. He is mighty, powerful and awesome beyond comprehension . . . and of course, as He revealed, perfectly submitted to and one with His Father.
Jesus used this same Greek word in the third Beatitude: “Blessed/happy are the “praus (meek),” for they shall inherit the earth” (Matthew 5:5). A translation is: “Happy are the consecrated/submitted to God . . .”
Jesus said, “I and My Father are one” (John 10:30)
Jesus spoke often about His relationship with His Father, especially in the Gospel of John. Jesus said:
“Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner. For the Father loves the Son, and shows Him all things that He Himself does; and He will show Him greater works than these, that you may marvel” (John 5:19-20).
Everything we receive, know, have and experience in our most holy faith, is all because of Jesus; and all because God gave and gives Jesus to the world.
A glorious mystery of the kingdom is: because Jesus became a man, and was and is perfectly submitted to and one with His Father . . . through the power of the Holy Spirit, we can do the same.
As someone said, “Jesus became what we are, so we could become what He is.”
Jesus spoke about these mysteries and revelations. An example:
“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father” (John 14:12).
Jesus said:
“And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me” (John 17:22-23).
