God Offers Himself, His Glory, His Son Jesus Christ…& Infinitely More! Amen

Today’s podcast is about the first person God created and how the creation of man reveals much about God’s nature and love. Also, the message includes information from Isaiah 14 and Ezekiel 28 about the earth before the creation of mankind.

The first person God created reveals much about God’s nature.

Adam’s choices and actions are what all humans would have done.

God created Adam in His own image and likeness (Genesis 1:28).
He gave Adam His presence and glory (2:7).
He made Adam a king (1:28).
He created a place called Eden, as well as the lands of Havilah, Cush and Assyria (2:11,13,14).
He gave Adam a beautiful garden, east of Eden.
We do not know the size of the garden. Some believe it was the size of today’s Middle East.
The garden had “every kind of tree pleasing to the eye and good for food” (2:9).
In addition to every kind of tree, we are told there were also two trees, which are mentioned specifically (2:9).
The Bible does not reveal how many trees were in the garden.
It reveals two groups of trees: “every kind” and then the two additional trees.
The first group (“every kind of tree”) was plural; two or more.
Therefore, we can conclude there were at least four trees or more. It could have been four, five, ten, twenty, a million, or more. The exact number is not known.
Also, trees, their fruit and seeds of course produce more trees. Therefore, the number of trees was increasing.
Some believe that the vegetation in the garden of Eden has resulted in the oil in today’s Middle East.
God created a river that became four rivers (2:10-14). So, He gave Adam water.
In Havilah, there was gold, bdellium and the precious stone onyx (2:11,12).
Gold is one of the most valuable precious metals on earth.
Bdellium is a fragrant resin produced by trees related to myrrh, used in perfumes, medicines, and incense.
Onyx is a beautiful crystal. It is the cryptocrystalline form of the mineral quartz, composed of very fine intergrowths of quartz and moganite.
Since Adam had dominion over the earth, God gave Him that wealth.
God saw a need, that Adam was alone (2:18). God gave Adam a helper and a companion, comparable to Him, later named Eve.

He told them to be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth (Genesis 1:28).
He created all the living creatures of the sea, the animals, and birds of the land (1:24-25, 2:19). He told Adam to subdue them (1:28).
He gave Adam a mind so creative that he was able to name all the creatures, beasts, animals and birds (2:19-20).
He gave Adam every herb which yielded seeds (1:29).
He gave Adam every tree which yielded fruit for food (1:29).
He gave to every living creature green herbs for food (1:30).
God saw everything He had made, “and indeed it was very good” (1:31).

God created every person into His own image and likeness (Genesis 1:27).
Every child under age five is in His kingdom (Matthew 19:14).
If they die, they go to heaven, where they will live forever (John 3:16).
He gives every person their life, soul and body. He forms their spirit man (Zechariah 12:1).
Every person is surrounded by God’s glory and presence (Psalm 139).
Jesus Christ, the Lord God Almighty, is available to them all the time, their entire life, for all eternity (Revelation 3:20).
If they choose Jesus, they receive eternal life (John 3:16).
They become a king and a lord (Revelation 19:16).
If they continue on with Jesus, they will live forever in the glory of heaven.
In heaven, they will eat fruit from the tree of life.
The leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations (Revelation 22:2).
They will drink from the fountain of the water of life, which flows from the river of life which proceeds from the throne of God (Revelation 21:6).
