Jesus Offers Fellowship
“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me” (Revelation 3:20).
What is God Like?
“On the glorious splendor of Your majesty, and on Your wondrous works, will I meditate” (Psalm 145:5).
“One thing I have desired of the Lord, that will I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire/seek Him in His temple” (Psalm 27:4)
Some translations, in place of “beauty,” say “splendor, delightfulness, perfections, graciousness, goodness.” For “Lord,” some translations are “Lord Jehovah, Jehovah, Yahweh.”
The Lord Jesus is indeed the most wonderful, most beautiful Person in the universe. His presence is . . . the glory of the Lord.
Man was Born to Fellowship with God
Man was born to fellowship with God . . . forever.
The supreme end of man is to know Him.
The end result is fellowship . . . with the only true God . . . the Father, Jesus Christ & the Holy Spirit.
Those who make it to heaven will fellowship with Him, forever.
Jesus knocks on the door of every person’s heart. He who opens the door, Jesus will, ultimately, fellowship with him. He calls it “dine/sup with him” (Revelation 3:20).
Jesus becomes that person’s food, drink, water . . . their everything (John 6).
Born of Water and the Spirit
When someone is born of water and the Spirit, the second phase of knowing God, they enter the kingdom of God and can begin to know His glory (John 3:5).
Jesus revealed that, tragically, most people will not get saved (Matthew 7:13-14). They miss out on eternal life, heaven, and . . . fellowship with God.
